Bucket

Dude Hes Legendary is the perfect name for this stunning gelding. Affectionally known as 'Bucket' around the barn, he sure is a head turner! Standing at a stout 15.1 hands, weighing 1,200 pounds, and wearing a size 1 shoe, Bucket is built to last! And he has the steady attitude to match! Bucket has been a true pleasure to bring along.
This horse is eager to greet you in the field, comes over to rest his big chin on your shoulder, and is delighted when he's the chosen one you catch and halter. He sure loves his people! Bucket is one of the most trusting horses I've had in my program. Ask him to stand in a ring of fire, he'll do it. Want him to drag a sled full of your favorite people or carry a tarp blowing in the breeze, it's all the same to Bucket. He has been used in my lesson program and always stays quiet and kind. Bucket has a comfortable trot and rocking horse lope. He maintains a consistent pace at the gait his rider sets.
Out on the trails, Bucket will make friends with anyone that walks or bikes by. He will cross any bridge and go into any body of water to grab a quick drink. He’s been around bikes, baby strollers, skateboards and everything in-between. He isn’t phased to ride beside busy traffic with semis, horns honking, and cars passing quickly in both directions. Big machinery, cars, and leaf blowers are all daily encounters for this guy. Bucket has led a pack string up in big mountain country and knows what a long day's work is.
In the arena, Bucket has a fancy handle! This big guy can turn around over his hocks and come to a sliding stop. He lopes off from the walk, knows his leads, and neck reins with the best of them! He has a cute side pass and knows how to pivot on both his front and hind. He moves well off leg pressure or rein pressure. He has been hauled to reining shows where he settles right in and contentedly naps most of the time he's there.
Bucket will stand tied on a high line, between crossties, or tied to the trailer all day long. And if you don't have a place to tie, he's content to just stand ground tied. Bucket loads in any trailer and back out like a gentleman. Slant with dividers or stock trailer with unfamiliar horses bumping up against him doesn't bother Bucket in the slightest, and by the end of the ride, he’s happy he has new friends. He gets along in any herd setting whether he's simply stalled by neighbors or turned out in pasture. Bucket stands tied to get hot shod by the farrier, is easy to worm and clip, and is great for the vet; he is currently up to date on his teeth and vaccines.
If you want to stroll around the arena or go out and rope a calf that needs brought in, Bucket is your man. His gentle, kind demeanor and quiet attitude around kids makes him a great candidate as a family horse as well. His confidence and trust are truly unmatched. Bucket is great to handle on the ground or while in the saddle. This gelding has done a bit of everything since he's been with me, and he takes it all in his pleasurable stride! Bucket is an honest guy who puts thought into what he's asked, he's always a team player. He's by far a barn favorite!
Bucket is currently consigned to the Cody Horse Sale on May 9, 2026. Follow this link for more photos and video>>>Click HERE.
